Terms of Service

This English version is provided for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the terms and conditions for the use of the Pechakuchat service (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided by isoiso LLC (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"). All users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "The Service" refers to the matching platform called Pechakuchat that facilitates communication between international visitors to Japan and local residents.
  2. "User" refers to any individual who uses the Service.
  3. "Registered User" refers to a User who has completed registration in accordance with these Terms.

Article 3 (User Registration)

  1. Registration for the Service shall be completed when an applicant agrees to these Terms and applies for registration in the manner prescribed by the Company, and the Company approves such application.
  2. The Company may refuse registration if any of the following applies:
    • False information is provided in the application
    • The applicant has previously violated these Terms
    • The Company otherwise deems registration inappropriate

Article 4 (Account Management)

  1. Users shall manage their login credentials at their own responsibility.
  2. Users may not transfer, lend, or share their accounts with third parties.
  3. The Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from unauthorized use of accounts, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Company.

Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)

Users shall not engage in any of the following activities:

  1. Activities that violate laws or public order and morals
  2. Criminal activities or activities that promote crime
  3. Activities that infringe on the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other rights of the Company or third parties
  4. Posting content that is excessively violent, sexual, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise offensive
  5. Activities for dating, romantic relationships, or sexual purposes
  6. Commercial activities, advertising, solicitation, or other profit-seeking activities without the Company's permission
  7. Activities that interfere with the operation of the Service
  8. Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  9. Collecting or accumulating personal information of other Users
  10. Any other activities deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 6 (Suspension and Termination of the Service)

  1. The Company may suspend or terminate all or part of the Service without prior notice in any of the following cases:
    • Maintenance or updates to the system
    • Force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters
    • Computer or communication line failure
    • Other cases where the Company deems it necessary
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any disadvantages or damages incurred by Users due to the suspension or termination of the Service.

Article 7 (Restriction of Use and Account Deletion)

  1. The Company may restrict or delete a User's use of the Service without prior notice if:
    • The User violates any provision of these Terms
    • False information is found in the registration details
    • The Company otherwise deems continued use inappropriate
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Users due to actions taken under this Article.

Article 8 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Company does not guarantee, either explicitly or implicitly, that the Service is free from defects in fact or law.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Users arising from the Service, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Company.
  3. The Company is not involved in any interactions or transactions between Users. Users shall resolve any disputes with other Users at their own responsibility.
  4. Users acknowledge that meetings with other Users involve inherent risks and agree to take appropriate safety precautions.

Article 9 (Changes to the Terms)

  1. The Company may change these Terms without obtaining individual User consent if deemed necessary.
  2. Changes to these Terms shall become effective when posted on the Service, unless otherwise specified by the Company.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
  2. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
